The council invests more than 90,000 euros in improving schools.
These works exploit the summer months, making arrangements for different kinds of upgrades in the different schools in the locality.

The council has planned to invest over the summer and until the end of the year approximately 90,000 euros in works taking place in various schools in the locality. Firstly, work has started at the College of "El Chorro", where in early July work was undertaken to modernize the windows of five classrooms that were seriously damaged, as well as the removal of some walls to expand the school ; last week work began at the College “Salvador González Cantos”, which is upgrading their courtyard, with outdated fencing being replaced with more ones. This week work began at the Colegio de la pedanía de Villafranco del Guadalhorce, el centro Carmen Arévalo, where the staircase access to the main courtyard is being demolised due to heavy damage, and has been replaced by another more accessible.
In Villafranco after this summer work construction will being fo new toilets and changing rooms for the sports field annex for colegio Carmen Arévalo. "This equipment will be completed with the reform of the sports facilities, creating a culturally important and very attractive sporting area" said the Edil for education.
